Kaohsiung Station, or Kaohsiung Railway Station, (Taiwanese: Kaohsiung locomotive, Tailuo: Ko-hiông hué-tshia-thâu), Kaohsiung locomotive (Taiwanese: Kaohsiung locomotive, Tailuo: Ko-hiông tshia-thâu), often It is referred to as "High Fire" [2], and the broadcast name of Kaohsiung MRT is "Kaohsiung Main Station" (Taiwanese: Kaohsiung Main Station, Tailuo: Ko-hiông tshia-tsām). Located in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung City, it is an underground railway station of the Taiwan Railway Administration and Kaohsiung MRT. This station is the connection point of the southern section of the Taiwan Railway's Longitudinal Line, Pingtung Line, and Kaohsiung Lingang Line (abolished). This station is located in the center of the two major towns in Kaohsiung City (Zuoying and Fengshan) and is the center of Kaohsiung City. The most important railway station is also the main transportation hub between the Kaohsiung metropolitan area and southern Taiwan. The railway tracks extending outward before the station was made underground were often used by residents to divide the urban areas of North Kaohsiung and South Kaohsiung.
